Uganda benefit series kicks off Oct 9th

PORTLAND MUSICIANS RAISE VOICES AND AWARENESS TO HELP UGANDA
First Annual Humanitarian Concert Series Benefits Mercy Corps.

Tickets are currently on sale for Voices for Silent Disasters, a new concert series that will feature more than 35 top Portland musicians, including Art Alexakis, Storm Large, and Thomas Lauderdale and China Forbes from Pink Martini, in a collection of 11 concert events throughout October and November. Ticket prices will range in price from $10 to $15.

Voices for Silent Disasters is inspired and is co-founded by local musician Stephanie Schneiderman of Dirty Martini and Gordon Heady who share a deep passion for music and making a difference. Combined with the enthusiastic support of area musicians who are volunteering their talent and McMenamins who has donated performance venues, 100% of the concert series proceeds will go directly to Mercy Corps’ humanitarian assistance program in Uganda, Africa.
