Marisha Pessl

Can she write or is all the attention because she’s “The latest Hot Young Thing writer.” Who knows, but she’s on The New York Times Notable Books list. You can decide because Marisha Pessl will be at Powells in Beaverton Monday May 7th reading from her debut novel, Special Topics in Calamity Physics.
Powell’s at Cedar Hills Crossing, 3415 SW Cedar Hills, 7 pm, FREE

If you’re not sure here’s some excerpts from Marisha’s MySpace site:
About me:
I’m the author of the prep-school-confidential thriller, SPECIAL TOPICS IN CALAMITY PHYSICS. A lot of ya’ll have asked if it’s REALLY me. Ya. It is.
Who I’d like to meet:
Readers, dreamers, philosophers, rockstars, S. Coppola, D. Barrymore, C. Eastwood, S. Mendes, Spielberg, C. Deneuve, et tout le monde. (That’s French for “all the world” - she has high hopes - DA.)
